Yacht Charter information - what you need to bring

Our yachts come comprehensively equipped so all you need to do is bring your provisions, clothing and your crew!

We provide washing-up equipment and tea towels.

For overnight charters your bed linen is provided.

Don't forget your camera, sunscreen, a sun-hat, towels and sailing gloves if you like to wear those.

Yacht Charter Pittwater - Grocery Shopping

Bayview marina is close (1.5km) to extensive shopping facilities at Mona Vale.

Shops include Coles, Woolworth's, bottle shops, butchers, bakers, delicatessens and take-aways. So provisioning for your Pittwater charter is extremely easy.

Trolleys are available on the marina for easy transfers to your yacht.

Parking

Free Parking is available at the Marina.

Yacht Charter Information - what's included?

All our Pittwater boat rentals come with fuel, gas, water and safety gear.

We include wet weather jackets, bedding, pillows, blankets, bed linen, garbage bags, t-towels, cutlery, crockery, cooking utensils, pots and pans, wine glasses and drinking glasses.

We provide towels for showering on our Platinum fleet yachts.

PLEASE NOTE LIFEJACKETS ARE ADULT SIZES ONLY YOU WILL NEED TO ARRANGE LIFEJACKETS SUITABLE FOR ANY CHILDREN ON BOARD.

We also provide a rowing dinghy with oars (and outboard large Platinum fleet yachts), detailed maritime charts of the area, and a copy of our Holiday Guide detailing all the anchorages in the cruising area.

Mobile phones are a great way of keeping in touch with us and relatives - there's good reception in most of our cruising area.

There is a 12 volt cigarette lighter type power socket so you can charge your mobile phones.

Wet Weather Guarantee

Fortunately wet days are fairly uncommon on Pittwater but at SmartBoating we want you to enjoy your bareboat yacht charter with us even if it rains. So we offer a unique Wet Weather Guarantee.

This means if you are unlucky and encounter really wet weather during your bareboat charter (where rainfall at Bayview exceeds 10mm between the hours of 9am and 5pm) we will credit you with a free day's bareboat charter to add to your next charter booking of 1 day or more duration taken during the following 6 months on the same boat.

So, even though SmartBoating may not be able to control the weather we can at least ease any disappointment by giving you another sailing experience to look forward to when hopefully the sun will be shining...

Pittwater Boat Charter Information

When you arrive one of our friendly staff will be waiting to ensure your boarding goes smoothly and to take you through the operation of your yacht. A thorough briefing will give you the confidence needed to ensure your Pittwater bareboat charter is thoroughly relaxation.

Your scheduled departure is shown on the charter agreement.

Please be ready to board 10 minutes prior to this time, so that every possible minute of your valuable holiday time is spent on the water enjoying this magnificent waterway.

During your briefing we take the approach that no question is a silly question - the more questions asked the better informed you will be!

We will make some suggestions on recommended mooring and anchoring spots, both in Pittwater and the Hawkesbury waterways, before you head off to start your sailing holiday.
